Leapmotor B01 Breaks Records with 10,000 Units Produced in First Week

Leapmotor has achieved a remarkable production milestone just days after launching its latest all-electric sedan, the B01. As of today, the 10,000th unit of the B01 has officially rolled off the production line, setting a new speed record for the automaker.

Unveiled on July 24 with a starting price of RMB 89,800 (~$12,510), the B01 has seen overwhelming market response, with 10,132 locked-in orders within just 72 hours of launch. The model is available in six variants, offering ranges of 430 km, 550 km, and a top-tier 650 km (CLTC), with the highest-spec versions equipped with LiDAR for enhanced intelligent driving.

Early adoption trends highlight strong demand for premium specs: over 70% of buyers have opted for the 650 km long-range version, and notably, 72% of new owners are under the age of 35, signaling strong traction among younger consumers.

This breakthrough comes as Leapmotor continues to diversify its portfolio, currently offering models like the T03, B10, C01, C10, C11, and C16 in China. While the T03, B01, and B10 are available exclusively as battery electric vehicles (BEVs), others also come in extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) versions.

Looking ahead, Leapmotor is gearing up to introduce a new D-series lineup, with the first model set to be a full-size electric SUV, expanding its footprint in the high-demand utility segment.

With a record-breaking 48,006 deliveries in June alone, Leapmotor is cementing its position as one of China’s fastest-growing EV brands.
